Druckguss Havelland GmbH led out of particularly difficult situation and handed over to a new investor
Despite the second insolvency within two years, the experienced insolvency administration around Christian Graf Brockdorff (BBL) succeeded with our help in operationally realigning HZD-Druckguss Havelland GmbH (Premnitz) and handing it over to the Minden-based Lehmann Group as the new owner within the framework of an insolvency plan. We are particularly pleased that all 70 jobs at HZD were secured and that the best possible satisfaction of creditors was realized.
At the beginning of 2022, the medium-sized zinc foundry from Premnitz filed for insolvency due to a lack of liquidity caused by strong market fluctuations. Only a few months earlier, the company had exited a previous insolvency.
During the almost one-year project, our focus was on the preparation of an integrated medium-term plan taking into account the previously developed restructuring measures. We supported the management in this difficult transition phase. The focus of the cooperation was on the acquisition of new customers and suppliers, accompanied by the implementation of significant price increases. Despite the emerging energy crisis, we succeeded in stabilizing the operating business. In the end, we identified several suitable interested parties in the course of a structured distressed M&A process, of which the Minden-based Lehmann Group prevailed.
Thanks to the extremely good work of the insolvency administrator Christian Graf Brockdorff (BBL) and the constructive cooperation with the management of HZD, the company was successfully restructured within the framework of an insolvency plan procedure and handed over to the new investor on November 11, 2022.
We are pleased to have supported the insolvency administrator in this project and wish the company continued success!
