Continuation of business operations of Kallmeyer & Nagel Vermietungs und Verwaltungs GmbH secured – Successful takeover by Smart Property Group GmbH

Kallmeyer & Nagel Vermietungs und Verwaltungs GmbH is a Hamburg-based company with a long tradition and around 60 employees. Active across Germany in the field of property management, the company has been operating in the market for 50 years and currently manages approximately 10,000 residential units.

In April 2025, the company filed for insolvency due to a challenging overall situation. Jennie Best from the law firm REIMER Rechtsanwälte Partnerschaft mbB was appointed as insolvency administrator.

Through a targeted and accelerated M&A process, Smart Property Group was identified as a suitable investor. The acquisition of the company’s assets was completed on April 1, 2025, as part of an asset deal. With approximately 80,000 residential units under management, Smart Property Group brings extensive market knowledge and long-standing industry experience. All jobs have been preserved, and the housing communities continue to be supported by their familiar contacts.
