New course for bidi: Investor solution successfully implemented

bidi Bildung Digital GmbH, based in Dresden, has been known since 2018 as an innovative provider of digital education services. The company offers its own platform, bidi.one, which provides flexible online tutoring for students across all grade levels and subjects — individually, location-independent, and as one-on-one tutoring.

bidi has been particularly successful in securing customized funding under state-sponsored programs such as “Learning with Tailwind” and the “Startchance Program.” More than 500 schools across Germany rely on the company’s expertise. Supported by a network of over 1,000 qualified tutors, bidi coordinates the learning experience closely with the schools.

In late June 2024, the company filed for insolvency due to economic challenges. Dr. Christian Heintze from the law firm BBL was appointed as insolvency administrator.

Through a structured and targeted investor process, a sustainable continuation solution was successfully implemented. Creditors unanimously approved the insolvency plan submitted by the insolvency administrator on April 8, 2025. The District Court of Dresden confirmed the plan the same day. Throughout the process, the company continued operations without interruption with its 22 employees, and all existing contracts with schools remain in place.

Centuros acted as exclusive advisor throughout the investor process and actively supported the successful conclusion of the M&A process through implementation of the insolvency plan solution.

We are pleased to have contributed to the continuation and future viability of bidi Bildung Digital GmbH and wish the new management and all parties involved every success for the further development ahead.
