Continuation of SHA GmbH business operations secured – Successful acquisition by the Zuther Group and BAUMASCH Stahl- & Metallbau GmbH
Siegmund Henning Anlagentechnik (SHA) GmbH, based in Ludwigslust, has been given full prospects of continuing as a going concern: The ‘design and manufacture of screw conveyors’ sub-business was successfully taken over by the Zuther Group from Karwitz as early as 1 June 2025 as part of an asset deal. The creditors’ committee had approved the sale and the corresponding purchase agreement came into force on time. Around 50 of the previous 70 employees were retained at the Ludwigslust site.
Jannik and Jonas Zuther, the managing partners of the Zuther Group, will take over the management of the company together with the previous SHA Managing Director Tom Henning. “As a family business with over 100 years of company history in bulk materials handling, we are delighted to have found a strong partner in SHA GmbH for all matters relating to conveyor technology. With the integration into the Zuther Group, both sides benefit from the mutual transfer of expertise,” explains Jannik Zuther. Tom Henning adds: “We are delighted with the solution we have found and want to share the combined expertise across various product areas with our customers.
Coupled with targeted advice, we will continue to be available to our customers at SHA in the usual form.”
A solution has now also been found for the last remaining operational area – silo construction at the Picher site. The division, which employs around ten people, was taken over by BAUMASCH Stahl- & Metallbau GmbH as part of another asset deal. This part of SHA GmbH will therefore also remain operational and will continue under new ownership.
Insolvency administrator Vanja Alexander Kovacev (BBL Brockdorff) commented: ‘We are very pleased that we were able to successfully complete the complex investor process, mainly due to the difficult economic situation in the plant engineering and steel industry, and can thus offer the company and its more than 50 employees prospects for the future […]’.
Centuros acted as exclusive advisor to the parties throughout the M&A process and supported the successful completion of the transaction.
We are proud to have accompanied this important step for the continuation of Siegmund Henning Anlagentechnik (SHA) GmbH’s business operations and wish all parties involved every success for the next steps and challenges.
