Deutsche Energieberatung GmbH (DEB) taken over by SPR Energie GmbH

Deutsche Energieberatung GmbH (DEB) has specialized in the planning, design and implementation of photovoltaic systems since its foundation in 2010. Since then, it has been providing private and institutional investors with direct ownership of photovoltaic systems and, together with customers, has contributed to the decentralization of the energy supply in Germany.

On February 1, 2021, the Hamburg District Court opened insolvency proceedings against the DEB. Mr. Dominik Montag (Römermann Rechtsanwälte) was appointed as insolvency administrator.

With the support of Centuros Consult GmbH, the insolvency administrator succeeded in identifying potential investors as         part of an M&A process. The aim was to secure all jobs and to maintain business operations.

The investor process was successfully completed in April 2021. As part of an asset deal, DEB’s business operations were completely taken over by SPR Energie. As a specialist in technical and commercial management of solar systems, SPR Energie also takes on the management of a large part of DEB’s existing systems.
