WERNER WIRTH Group takes over Hanseatische Formen- und Werkzeugbaugesellschaft mbH (HFW)
The Hanseatische Formen- und Werkzeugbaugesellschaft mbH is a company in the field of injection molding and tool making, which has existed for almost 40 years. On the company’s own production area in Stade, the company has established itself through its specialized know-how in the field of plastics processing and machining, as well as mold and tool manufacturing.
An application for the opening of insolvency proceedings over the assets of Hanseatische Formen- und Werkzeugbaugesellschaft mbH was filed with the Stade District Court in September 2020, which was opened on January 01, 2021. Attorney Dr. Gideon Böhm from the law firm Münzel und Böhm was appointed as insolvency administrator. As an experienced reorganization specialist, Dr. Böhm was able to stabilize the business operations and maintain and continue them in full until the successful transferred reorganization. The common goal of the insolvency administration and the involved parties was a speedy and complete reorganization of the business of Hanseatische Formen- und Werkzeugbaugesellschaft mbH. The main objectives of a transaction were the preservation of business operations and jobs. Centuros Consult GmbH was exclusively appointed by the management and the insolvency administration as M&A advisor.
In May 2022, the Hamburg-based WERNER WIRTH Group acquired all assets and employees of Hanseatische Formen- und Werkzeugbaugesellschaft mbH and integrated HFW into its subsidiary WERNER WIRTH Moltics GmbH in an asset deal. It is thus expanding its manufacturing capacity in the field of plastic injection molding. We are pleased to have been able to support Hanseatische Formen- und Werkzeugbaugesellschaft mbH and Dr. Böhm in their search for investors and wish the company every success in the future.
